Celebrity Apex – One Seriously Slick Ship
If you’re into sleek design, next-level service, and a cruise that feels like a boutique hotel at sea, Celebrity Apex is going to be right up your street. I’d heard great things before we boarded, but honestly? It still managed to impress me.
Infinite Veranda Stateroom: Clever, Comfy, and Kinda Cool
We stayed in an Infinite Veranda stateroom, which is a bit of a twist on the usual balcony cabin setup. Instead of a separate outdoor space, the entire end wall of your room is floor-to-ceiling glass—and with the touch of a button, the top half slides down to let the sea breeze in. It’s basically like turning your whole room into a veranda. Clever, right?
The Grand Plaza & Martini Bar: Elegant, Energetic, Effortless
Right at the heart of the ship is the Grand Plaza—and it’s the kind of place you naturally gravitate towards. Think high ceilings, stylish lighting, and a real buzz in the evenings. And yes, that Martini Bar lives up to the hype.
The bar staff? Absolute legends. Whether you’re after a classic cocktail or something a bit more adventurous, they’ve got it covered—shaken, stirred, and served with serious flair under the glow of a jaw-dropping chandelier that puts on a bit of a show all by itself.
Eden: One of the Most Unique Spaces at Sea
Eden is hard to describe—but in the best possible way. It’s chilled and serene by day (perfect for grabbing a drink or curling up with a book), and by night, it transforms into something much more immersive.
The design is stunning—plants everywhere, floor-to-ceiling windows, and a vibe that shifts throughout the day. It’s like a little escape within the ship, and if you’re into venues that are a bit different from the norm, you’ll love it.
The Resort Deck: Not Your Standard Pool Deck
Forget rows of sun loungers and background noise—Apex does things differently. The pool area is beautifully laid out with tiered seating that gives you proper views out to sea, plus there’s the Solarium for adults who fancy a quieter vibe (I’m very much in that camp).
The Rooftop Garden is another lovely touch—lush greenery, comfy seating, and a great spot to relax with a drink when you want a change of scene.
The Magic Carpet: Yes, It’s as Cool as It Sounds
If you’ve seen photos of Apex, you’ve probably clocked the bright orange platform that sits on the side of the ship—that’s the Magic Carpet. It moves up and down depending on the time of day and what’s going on, and it’s used for everything from tendering guests ashore to hosting drinks and dinners over the sea.
The views from up there are unreal. Whether you’re grabbing a cocktail or just soaking it all in, it feels like something special—not just another deck space.
Dining: Where Choice Meets Class (and the Steakhouse is a Must)
If food is a big part of why you cruise (it definitely is for me), you’ll be glad to know Apex doesn’t disappoint.
Let’s start with Main Dining. On Apex, it’s a bit different from the traditional “one big dining room” setup. Instead, there are four smaller, beautifully themed restaurants—Tuscan, Cyprus, Normandie, and Cosmopolitan. Each one has its own vibe and a few unique dishes on the menu, but you still get access to the same rotating core menu across all four.
You can either choose Traditional Dining with set times and tables, or go for Celebrity Select Plus, which is what we did—much more flexible and perfect if you want your evenings to be a bit more go-with-the-flow. We tried a couple of the different venues and loved how it felt more like dining in a boutique restaurant than a cruise ship main dining room.
And then there’s the Speciality Dining—this is where things really step up a notch.
We treated ourselves to dinner at the Fine Cut Steakhouse, and honestly? It was sensational. The atmosphere was chic and polished without being too stuffy, and the food was next-level. Perfectly cooked steak, attentive service, and the kind of meal you remember long after the cruise ends. Worth every penny.
There’s a whole line-up of other specialty venues too, from Le Grand Bistro to Raw on 5 and Eden Restaurant—so if you’re into your food, you’ll be spoiled for choice.
Would I Sail Apex Again? Without a Doubt.
From the thoughtful cabin design to the jaw-dropping public spaces, Celebrity Apex just gets so much right. It’s grown-up, stylish, and full of those little touches that elevate the whole experience.
Would I book again? 100%. And you can bet I’ll be making a beeline for that Martini Bar the second I step onboard.
